28-31 August 2012, hosted by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, 12th International Conference on Numerical Simulation of Optoelectronic Devices, NUSOD12 was successfully held in Shanghai. Prof. Wei Lu served as the chairman of the International Conference, Prof. Joachim Piprek served as Executive Chairman of the General Assembly. A total of 81 people attended the meeting and participate in academic discussions, of which 42 were from the United States, Germany, Britain, France, Italy, Australia, Russia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Iran, Turkey, Finland, India, Brazil and other countries.

Assembly report covers new optoelectronic devices, the latest research progress and results of the direction of the light detector, material properties, photonic crystals, nano-structures, numerical simulation, solar cells, lasers and optoelectronics. Wonderful reports and actively shows caused extensive and valuable discussions, and got a good academic exchange effects. The conference effectively promotes the international exchange of optoelectronic device simulation and has won wide acclaim in the domestic and foreign scholars and experts.
