Marine Airborne Multispectral Scanner (MAMS) devised by Shanghai Institute of Technical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SITP, CAS) was displayed at 2011 China Technical Equipment and Commodities Exhibition held in Indonesian capital, Jakarta from May 25 to 28, 2011. It was the first time for SITP to display products in the expo.

MAMS is a type of Airborne Multi-spectral Scanner(AMS)designed for marine applications. AMS is designed modularly and the spectral channels in UV/VIS/NIR/MIR/TIR can be customized for different applications. The technology is characterized by whisk-broom scanning, grating dispersing, modular design, virtual control panel as well as friendly operation interface.

As a good opportunity for promoting economic and trade cooperation between Indonesian businessmen and their Chinese counterparts, the expo attracted major Chinese companies like Shanghai JT Optoelectronic Co Ltd, Shanghai Xilong Solar Energy Technology Co Ltd, Shanghai Wellzoom International Trade Co Ltd, Shanghai Toptex, and Shanghai No.1 National Musical Instruments Factory.

When for the first time held in Indonesia in 2002, the Chinese Technical Equipment and Commodities Exhibition had been attended by more than 700 companies and 45,000 business people with a total turnover of $ 380,000,000.
